| Summary | Data were collected to provide length distributions and estimates of quantities of Nephrops discards from the Eastern Irish Sea Fishery for stock assessment purposes. Samples were generally taken so as to maintain the ratio of landed to discarded animals in the catch. Length distributions were produced of landed and discarded Nephrops by sex, with weights of catch by haul and trip with which to raise discarded sample, to estimate total discarded for haul or trip. |
