Summary | Baseline studies were carried out to determine t0-situation at areas in the Dutch coastal zone were sand is extracted or replenished. After the sand extraction or replenishment monitoring has started to examine the impact on and recovery of the benthic communities in those areas.Benthic dregde samples are collected for data on the infauna and epifauna to get an impression of the distribution and population structure of individual benthic species. |
