Country | Malta |
Time period | 07/01/2001 - 27/01/2001 |
Ongoing | No |
Geographical area | The station was positioned to the east of Benghajsa Reef. Southeastern coastal sea of Malta. |
Observations | |
Parameters | Electrical conductivity of the water column; Raw current meter output parameters; Raw temperature and/or salinity instrument output |
Instruments | Current meters; salinity sensor |
Description | |
Summary | The survey on subsurface currents conducted in the area of Benghajsa Reef was targeted to identify the sea currents regine in the area during winter with the potential scope of establishing a tune penning regime. The data set covers 20 days of measurements made at 10-minute intervals. Two current meters were deployed at 8m and 20m respectively from the surface in a water column of total depth 46m |
