Description
Summary

During a series of expeditions to Filfla, the nature, distribution, and abundance of the main component species of the supralittoral, mediolittoral and upper infralittoral marine macrobenthic assemblages of the islet were studied, using direct observation techniques. The demersal fish fauna was also censused by direct observation. The data set contains a detailed description of the Supralittoral and mediolittoral assemblages as well as the infralittoral benthic assemblages. Each description includes a mention of species found associated within the respective assemblage. Two species lists have also been included: 1) A species list of the more abundant macrobenthic species, and 2) A species list of demersal fish recorded during the study
