These data were acquired within the framework of the activities of research/formation of the institute. Thus, the physico-chemical study of the gulf of Arzew was made. The objective is to know the characteristics of water of the gulf and the influence that they undergo by the continental input and water from Atlantic origin (Algerian current). Oxygen, temperature, pH and salinity were measured in situ or on board. For nutrient analysis, water was sampled by Niskin bottle and conveyed at the laboratory. Approximately 14 stations were studied with 2 or 3 levels of depth. This study was carried out during three cruises. The first is from 27/07/1988 to 01/08/1988, the second is from 06/12/1988 to 11/12/1988 and the third is from 05/02/1989 to 08/02/1989. In the three cruises, approximately, the same stations are studied three times. However, during the third cruises 19 stations are studied.
