Description | |
Summary | The present state of the seawater pollution of the Black Sea Coastal area under conditions of the man-made factor has been studied. The seawater pollution with oil products, phenols, chlororganic pesticides, heavy metals in Batumi and Poti regions has been investigated. Some microbiological examination of the seawater has been carried out. A relationship between of the oil products destruction rate and the natural radiation existing in the region has been established. A comparative graph of the content of oil products (average concentration mg/l) in surface and deep seawater and of natural radiation (kcal/cm2) by months in 1993-1995 in Batumi region. The scientific project customer/owner was the State Committee for Hydrometeorology and Monitoring of the Environment (Moscow). |
