The database contains physical, chemical, and biological data from expeditions of Ukraine, Kazakhstan, and Azerbaijan of the last 40 years to the Atlantic Ocean, and associated enclosed seas of the Atlantic Ocean basin: the Mediterranean Sea, Caspian Sea and the Aral Sea. (more than 50 datasets for the period 1950-2000). Data are prepared by the Institute of Biology of the Southern Seas (IBSS, Sevastopol, Ukraine), Marine Hydrophysical Institute (MHI, Sevastopol, Ukraine), Caspian Biological Station, Institute of Zoology (CBS, Baku, Azerbaijan), and Tethys, Ministry of Justice Kazakhstan (Almaty, Kazakhstan). The data are accompanied with some scientific papers and working materials. All data are loaded into the OceanBase, a multidisciplinary oceanographic database management system.
