This work is done under the project entitled ''Fertility and pollution study along the Algerian coasts''. The goal is the quantification of pollution in ports and coastal areas (marine water and sediment) of the Bay of Bou-Ismail, west of Algiers, Algeria. The trips were made on board of the boats of ENSSMAL (Aurès and Baba Arroudj). The hydrological parameters were measured on board. The water sampling was done by Niskin bottles and sediment by a ‘’Van Veen’’ grab. Analyses were performed in the laboratory: the nutrients by the colorimeter Skalar San + and metals by atomic absorption spectrophotometry.
