Description
Summary

In the Dutch part of the Western Scheldt and in the Belgian Sea Scheldt the ecological development can be followed by monitoring the fish populations. The area has a nursery function for young fish and is a transition zone for migratory fish. Sampling is carried out by anchor hole and at the same time at the same location by Dutch “schietfuik”. The aim of this survey was to see if the results of both methods are similar.
