Summary

Annually, in Spring, an inventory is performed of the distribution and abundance of sublittoral wild mussel beds in the western part of the Dutch Wadden Sea. Mussel seed fishery occurs in accordance with a fishing plan based on the data of this inventory. The wild stocks of seed mussels are fished and brought to cultivation lots in the Dutch Wadden Sea and the Eastern Scheldt. In order to get data of winter survival of the seed beds sampling in Autumn started in 2005.
