Parameters | Raw fluorometer output; Raw temperature and/or salinity instrument output |
Description | |
Summary | On R/V Argos water is pumped in through a water intake 4.5 m below the surface. The temperature is registered by a sensor at the water intake. The water is pumped to an expansion tank in the laboratory. In the tank the salinity is computed from the conductivity/temperature sensor. The water then passes a fluorometer. Date, time, position, fluorescence, temp1 (in situ), temp2 (in the tank) and salinity is registered once a minute and is stored as ASCII files (one per day). The insitu temperature and salinity are corrected against CTD-profiles and the data are then quality controlled using a combination of in-house software and manual methods. |
