Description | |
Summary | Data are collected to monitor sea water quality at beaches in west Wales. This covers 25 beaches from Wiseman's Bridge to Cym-yr Eglwys. 22 weekly samples are taken each summer; analysis and records are kept as per Bathing Water Directive 76/160/EC. Laboratories are all accredited and quality controlled. Bacteriological levels are shown at each site on a weekly basis. A yearly summary is shown to show compliance with Bathing Water Directive. A designated beaches annual returns summary has been completed since 1986. |
