Sampling in Norrbotten consists of national monitoring (Ranea) and regional coordinated monitoring in Pitea, Kalix and Lulea. The sampling started in 1993 and comprises hydrography, phyto- and zooplankton, contaminants in biota and sediment, fish and phytobenthos. At present 15 stations are visited 4-8 times a year. Data has been quality controlled.
