Description
Summary

This data set has been collected from ADCP's under many different projects and programmes that the laboratory has been involved. These range from deployment of ADCP's in sea lochs to deep water sites in the Faeroe-Shetland Channel and from vessel mounted ADCP's collecting data along specified tracks. The vessel mounted ADCP data files archived in this data set have been acquired by RDI's computer based Data Acquisition System (DAS), versions ADCP246, ADCP248 and TRANSECT, v1.8 and reduced to a MLA standard formatted files by in-house software. The self contained ADCP data files archived, are those extracted by RDI software and reduced to MLA standard format by in-house software. A standard MLA ADCP file contains all those parameters mentioned above for each profile. The data set to date contains some 131,000 profiles. In addition to this all ADCP binary data files are banked.
