Description | |
Summary | The data were collected within the framework of the MYTIMED Project. The main objective of the Mytimed project was to evaluate the chemical contamination along a part of the eastern Mediterranean coast using a standard protocol in order to reduce variability of the results due to various trophic conditions. This standard protocol is based on active biomonitoring consisting in putting mussel cages in targeted locations for a desired duration (about 3 months) and measuring the accumulated contaminant levels in mussel flesh after recovery. Biomarkers were measured at 18 sites of the 37 sites employed in Greek coastal waters. |
