| Summary | In order to study the distributional patterns of the benthic communities inhabiting soft bottoms benthic samples were collected from a total of 15 stations at different depths and seasons (1983, 1984, 2003). In 2004 and 2009 hard bottoms were also sampled, and 10 dredge hauls were performed, with the aim to analyse the benthic species composition as well as human interventions in the coastal area at the end of the touristic season. Special emphasis was given to the presence of alien organisms in the area and their distribution in relation to climatic changes. |
