Chemical Parameter Measurements in Coastal area of Georgia

Suspended particulate material aggregates; Alkalinity, acidity and pH of the water column; Phosphate concentration parameters in the water column; Salinity of the water column; Nitrate concentration parameters in the water column; Ammonium and ammonia concentration parameters in water bodies; Chlorophyll pigment concentrations in water bodies; Dissolved oxygen parameters in the water column; Electrical conductivity of the water column; Nitrite concentration parameters in the water column; Concentration of silicon species in the water column

For the estimation of the ecological condition of the Georgian Black Sea coastal zone the observations were conducted at 3 hydrological stations. Using the Ruthner’s bathometer sea water samples were taken at two depths – surface and 20 metres. The measurements were made within the EC Project PERSEUS. During monitoring the following parameters were measured: Chlorophyll, Electrical Conductivity, Ammonium, Nitrite, Nitrate, Dissolved Oxygen, Phosphate, pH, Salinity, Concentration of Silicon and SPM.
