Description
Summary

The deep water red shrimps (Aristaeomorpha foliacea and Aristeus antennatus) have a great commercial importance and in the Ionian Sea consisting a potential fishing resource. Due to the frangibility of deep water ecosystems and before the exploitation of this resource this projects could be a useful tool of their management in the Ionian Sea. The objective of the work is a feasibility study of the growth of fishery trawling for the protection of red shrimps in the above area, using of innovative analytic methods: 1) life-economic model 2) analysis cost/benefit 3) socio-economic analysis of fishery of wider region 4) economic assessment of stock (stock valuation). Parameters: socioeconomics data, biological data, concerning deep water shrimps.
