From April 1995 SMHI in cooperation with the National Board of Fisheries and The Geological Survey of Sweden took over the performing responsibility for the co-ordinated recipient control in Kalmar County coastal water. The sampling comprises hydrography, benthic fauna, hard bottom, shell defects, fishery and fish physiology, environmental contaminants, fauna. The data were collected on cruises with a research vessel. At present 4 stations are visited once a month and 24 every second month. The data has been quality controlled.
