It is hierarchical and covers all types of habitat types from natural to artificial, from terrestrial to freshwater and marine. Valentia island is located in Co. Kerry off the south-west coast of Ireland. The data was acquired in 2001 to aid in the designation of Special Areas of Conservation (SAC) around the coast of Ireland.
