| Description | |
| Summary | Temperature data logged to be used in conjunction with biological samples taken to monitor effects of warm water effluent from the nuclear power station at Hunterston. This was part of a contract between the South of Scotland Electricity Board and SMBA. A logger was buried at a point near low water springs on Hunterston Beach. A control logger was also in place at a similar level on Kames Beach, Millport. Two other loggers were situated in 10m of water some distance off shore, unaffected by warm water. |
