Description
Summary

Temperature data logged to be used in conjunction with biological samples taken to monitor effects of warm water effluent from the nuclear power station at Hunterston. This was part of a contract between the South of Scotland Electricity Board and SMBA. A logger was buried at a point near low water springs on Hunterston Beach. A control logger was also in place at a similar level on Kames Beach, Millport. Two other loggers were situated in 10m of water some distance off shore, unaffected by warm water.
