Description | |
Summary | Ultraplankton heterotroph is a key component of the marine ecosystem. Its functional and structural diversities were investigated by flow cytometry thanks to discrete samples collected in the Gulf of Lion (GoL) during two key periods (2 legs): in winter (during the deep convection) and in spring (during the bloom) flow cytometer. These measurements are complementary to those performed during the Surface Continuum. Various Heterotophic bacteria were distinguished. This very study of their distribution in the NW Mediterranean during the deep water convection and spring bloom is a source of information to better understand the role of ultraplankton community structure in biogeochemical processes. |
