| Summary | Regular monitoring of mesozooplankton abundance collected with a monthly frequency in the Long Term Ecological Research (LTER) Station C1. Zooplankton were collected by vertical hauls from 15 m to the surface using a WP2 net with 200 µm mesh, 56 cm diameter. Monthly sampling from 1998 to 2005. Samples were fixed with Ca(HCO3)2-buffered formaldehyde (2-4% final concentration) for determination of species abundance and composition. Individuals were sorted and counted under binocular microscope. |
