Description
Summary

The data set comprises data collected by the UOR on 5 cruises in the north east Atlantic. The cruises were as follows: RRS Challenger 16/87 (8 June - 3 July 1987) comprising 30 tows, depths between 0 and 65m, 2054 miles (3804 km), 2101 undulations covering an area between 55° N and 65° N, 5° W and 20° W. RRS Charles Darwin 5/89 (9 May - 6 June 1989) comprising 18 tows, depths between 0 and 20m or 0 and 60m, 1405 miles. RRS Charles Darwin 6/89 (11 June - 11 July 1989) comprising 29 tows. RRS Charles Darwin 7/89 (24 July - 5 August 1989) comprising 14 tows. RRS Charles Darwin 6/91 (5 June - 2 July 1991) comprising 20 tows. All cruises measured conductivity, temperature, depth, chlorophyll and transmittance.
