Summary

The aim of the EisenEx experiment was to 'fertilise' a patch of water - along isopycnal surfaces - with added iron and monitor the effects on productivity and gas exchange. Sulphur hexafluoride was used as a tracer to mark the patch of iron-enriched water. Measurements of helium were made to quantify the ensuing gas exchange
