Instruments | Discrete water samplers; unconsolidated sediment corers |
Description | |
Summary | The aim of the Gweedore Bay study was to ascertain the water quality (and sediment quality) of the bay and to identify any possible sources of pollution. Water quality was assessed at nine stations; water and sediment quality parameters were determined by standard procedures. Intertidal macrofaunal sampling was only undertaken at two of the nine stations, using a 0.01 square metre cylindrical corer. The water abd sediment quality data are presented in summary tables in 'Word' format. The macrofauna data are stored in two files, representing biomass and abundance data. |
