| Summary | The Environment Agency is designated as the responsible authority for monitoring and reporting under certain EC Directives: Dangerous Substances (76/464/EEC etc.), Titanium Dioxide (78/176/EEC etc.), Shellfish Waters (79/923/EEC), Bathing Water Quality (76/160/EEC). Sample data and in some case yearly sample summaries are held. The data consist largely of laboratory analysis of water quality samples taken at the frequencies determined by the Directives. Some biological data and observational data are also included. |
