Description
Summary

The Environment Agency is designated as the responsible authority for monitoring the inputs of contaminants listed in the 1974 Paris Convention as amended by the 1992 OSPAR Convention. It does this by measuring the loads of substances from direct industrial and wastewater discharges into estuaries and coastal waters, and by assessing the loads of substances entering the sea via rivers at the tidal limit.
