Programme run by Department of Agriculture for Northern Ireland (DANI), Agricultural and Environmental Science Division (AESD). There are four stations: 38, 38A, 45, 45A. Additional stations are worked during cruises to service moorings. Stations sampled since 1991 at least 6 times per year. Moorings in place at St 38 in April 1995 moved to St38a in Feb 1997 due to trawling disrruption. Moorings in place at St45 in Feb 1996 moved to St45a in Nov 1996. Instruments have thermister chain, CTD and water sampler for nutrients and occasional phytoplankton species composition. Data used to inform environment and fisheries policies.
