Objectives and Narrative |
Global Change/OMEX Biochemistry. IMPULSE Programme. MUMM contribution - sampling stations, trackplot, SCTD profiles and horizontal profiles of salinity, temperature and fluorescence.
During the first leg of the cruise 13 stations were sampled. The ship zigzagged along the French continental shelf. Stations 1-7 and 9 were sampled during a 2-4 hour stop. Stations 8 (22 hours) and 10 (14 hours) - processus studies carried out. Stations 11-13 could not be sampled due to bad weather. So, 2 Irish coastal stations sampled instead. Belgica berthed at Cork 28th April - 1st May. During the second leg, stations 15 (OMEX 1) and 17 (OMEX 2) were sampled. At the station 17 the Sea-Bird SBE911plus system was lost resulting in the termination of the cruise. |
