Parameters

Period Parameters Sample Interval
1998 ASL,CAP,CDT,EGT,ESS,EWD,EWS 1 hour
1999 ASL,CAP,CDT,EGT,ESS,EWD,EWS 1 hour

where:

  • ASL = ASLVZZ01 = Sea Level (metres)
  • CAP = CAPHSL01 = Atmospheric pressure at sea level (millibars)
  • CDT = CDTASS01 = In-situ dry bulb temperature (degrees Centigrade)
  • EGT = EGTSSS01 = Gust wind speed (metres/sec)
  • ESS = ESSSSS01 = Standard deviation of horizontal wind speed (m/s)
  • EWD = EWDASS01 = Wind direction, blowing from (Degrees True)
  • EWS = EWSBSS01 = Wind speed (metres/sec)

Quality Assessment

Comment

The daily and monthly means do not reveal any obvious reference level shifts. Residuals are extremely noisy. Hence only spikes over 25cm have been flagged. Most questionable fluctuations are related to timing problems with the gauge.

The residual for the 1998 series is quite clean but the residual for 1999 reveals some minor timing errors throughout this year. The standard deviation channel (ESSSSS01) for 1998 and 1999 has been flagged suspect where values are over 30 m/s.

The completeness index (CI) is calculated for the primary sea level channel only.
