ObjectivesBristol Channel survey with the objectives:

1) To measure the spatial variability of dissolved organic and inorganic nutrients, phytoplankton and zooplankton.

2) To measure the fluxes of organic and inorganic nutrients between phytoplankton, heterotrophic microbes and omnivorous zooplankton and to measure the rates of primary and secondary production.

3) To make current meter measurements at 2 stations as a reconnaissance for long-term deployment of current meters.

4) To carry out preliminary trawling in Swansea and other bays.
