| Objectives | 1) To carry out herring larval surveys to the north and west of Scotland
2) To carry out an acoustic survey for herring and other pelagic fish in the area using the Marine Laboratory's echo-integrator ''Explorer'' called at Stornoway on the 29/08/1978 for repairs to the radar and Decca navigation units. The ship had to deviate on the 31/08/1978 to Scrabaster to land a sick crew member. A half landing took place at Stornoway from the 04/09/1978 till the 06/09/1978 and there was a change in personnel. Gales halted and delayed work |
