| Objectives | 1) To undertake monitoring surveys at Bell Rock and St Abbs Head sludge dumping grounds
2) To measure the productivity of the outer reaches of the Moray Firth 3) To investigate the status of the offshore benthic communities in the northen North Sea 4) Trials of the underwater TV sledge took place 5) Trials of the Reineck and Craib corers were carried out in Lerwick Bay 6) Additional benthic stations along the coast between the Firth of Forth and Stonehaven were introduced and successfully sampled 7) Samples of fish for bacteriological analysis were obtained by trawling Crew shortages delayed departure until the 14/04/1980. The ship remained stormbound in Stavanger from the 19/04/1980 till the 21/04/1980 |
