PurposeResearch
Objectives1) To continue the series of 5 'MULEX' cruises designed to quantify nutrient cycling processes in Carmarthen Bay, including;
A) Nutrient excretion rates of the zooplankton assemblage.
B) Nutrient demand rates by the phytoplankton assemblage
C) Nutrient regeneration rates byt the Benthos
D) Nitrification/dentrification process by bacteria
E) Nutrient advection and diffusion from surrounding regions to Carmarthen Bay

2) To continue the monitoring of the Bristol Channel and Severn Estuary.
