Purpose | Research |
Objectives | Geochemical investigations of the water column and sediment system in the area west of Portugal. Water column sampling for trace metals, including manganese and aluminium, with filtered particulates. Sediment and pore water studies in the same region. Sites of special interest were 'Discovery Gap', King's Trough, Torre Seamount and Mediterranean outflow water. Several minor sites in the Mediterranean were also occupied. |
