Objectives1. To undertake an underwater closed circuit television survey of the Guillam Bank dump site and surrounding area.

3. To assess whether dumped electrode material will interfere with Nephrops trawling operations. Abandoned due to the Jackson prawn trawl being unsuitable for use on 'Explorer'.
4. To log the position of the dumping vessel "Kindeaoe" during actual dumping operations.

The main engine developed a fault and it was necessary to anchor off Cruden Bay to undertake essential repairs, ''Explorer'' set sail again on the 15/04/1983. Objective 3 was abandoned because the Jackson prawn trawl was unsuitable for use on ''Explorer''
