Objectives | 1. To identify the visual and bioluminescent adaptations and behaviour of meso- and bathypelagic animals.
2. To investigate the distribution and locomotory mechanisms of near-surface species. 3. To compare the distribution of (a) demersal fishes, and (b) near-bottom and upper water column zooplankton and nekton with previously sampled sites further north and east. |
