| Objectives | 1. To carry out fishing trials with an experimental deep water survey trawl.
2. To measure the gear geometry and drag of above at depth. 3. To investigate the selectivity of current regulation cod-end mesh size (100 mm) on deep water species. 4. To obtain video film of the behaviour of these species within the trawl cod-end. 5. To record water temperature at depth during fishing hauls and relate to catch size/species. |
