| Purpose | Research |
| Objectives | To contribute to the quarter one international groundfish survey of the North Sea. Sampling took place at 53 stations covering the area from latitude 51deg30' N to 56° 00' N. At each atation a 30 minute tow with the gov (high headline) bottom trawl was made. Also, sea conditions permitting, a down cast profile of temperature and conductivity (salinity) was made. The total catch taken in the gov trawl was weighed and measured by species. Age/length keys will be produced for selected commercially important species. |
