Objectives | 1. To compare the catch rtes of scallops using traditional (4') dredges with the catch rates obtained using more recent designs (2' and 2'6"). The information to be used in calibrating catch per unit effort information provided by fishermen.
2. To obtain information on scallop population structure on various grounds around Islay.
3. To observe, by the use of diverse and underwater television, the action and efficiency of scallop dredges on various types of bottom. |
