Purpose | Research |
Objectives | 1. To collect fish samples from Liverpool and Morecambe Bays, for EQS submissions to EC and Oslo/Paris Commissions. The required samples were obtained.
2. To undertake fish disease studies at selected sites in these areas. Just over 1000 dab were examined for the incidence of disease during the cruise. Overall, 7.2% were found to have ulcers, lymphocystis or epidermal hyperplasia. 3. To collect samples of fish at sites south and east of the Isle of Man as a continuation of the study on spatial variation in contaminant concentrations. Samples of whiting, mackerel and pouting were obtained using rod and line. |
