1) Studies of the vertical distribution of squid and zooplankton
2) Development of acoustic techniques to identify animals in the water column
3) To determine the growth rates and swarm characteristics of krill
4) Studies of the distribution of fish larvae and the role of fish in the pelagic community
5) Continuation of the ongoing studies of marine chemistry.
