Objectives | A nearly zonal CTD/hydrographic section across the subpolar North Pacific (WOCE section P01). The cruise track was primarily along 47 N except at the western boundary. The section consisted of 115 high quality, full water-column CTD/hydrographic stations. Water samples were analysed for salinity, oxygen, and nutrients as well as F11, F12, tritium, alkalinity, chlorophyll-a, phaeopigment, helium-3, carbon-14, manganese, plutonium and rare earth elements. Continuous ADCP profiling, towed salt-bridge GEK and XBT's were also components of this program | ||||||||
