| Objectives | 1. To calibrate the counting echosounder against known targets.
2. To assess the Marconi Digital sonar. The echo level distributions obtained from standard targets at knon density were ascertained and they provide a reference for all future work. An echo survey for herring of the areas from 60 degrees to 60 degrees 30 minutes North and eastwards to 2 degrees East, and 20 miles east of Wick was carried out. |
