Narrative The scientific staff joined FRV Clupea at 0900 hours on 13 March, but due to bad weather, did not sail from Fraserburgh until 0800 on 15 March. Sampling began NE of Sumburgh at 0700 on 16 March and continued around Shetland until the survey was completed at 1400 on 24 March. The gale force winds prevented the vessel from setting sail for Fraserburgh at this time. Scientific staff made arrangements to fly home later that evening, while the vessel stayed in port until the afternoon of 26 March, arriving back in Fraserburgh at 1000 on 27 March. All equipment and samples returned to the laboratory on 27 March. |
