ObjectivesObjectives

1. To undertake fish and sediment sampling in the Clyde in support of the temporal trend and biomarker monitoring studies.
2. To undertake sampling of flounder collected from upper Clyde on behalf of SEPA West.
3. To sample sediment from the Clyde stations.

Procedure

The SEPA RV Sir John Murray will collect fish from Bowling during the morning of 20 November. The scientific gear and personnel will join the vessel on 20 November and thereafter sampling for fish and sediment will be conducted at Cloch Point, Garroch Head and Pladda. Fish samples will be processed for biological effects and chemical analyses aboard the vessel. Liquid nitrogen will be carried abroad for the preservation and storage of biological material.
