PurposeResearch
Objectives1) Sampling pre-recruit flatfish in the bays of the Moray Firth and the east coast of Scotland. All samples were taken in depths of less than 10 fm
2) Otoliths were taken from plaice, flounders, common dabs and long rough dabs in all areas
3) All cod were examined for worms
4) Stomach samples were taken from plaice and common dabs in the Moray Firth bays.

Bad weather prevented work on the 13/05/1969 and the 19/05/1969. ''Mara'' called in at Aberdeen on the 22/05/1969 to unload equipment and samples, then it steamed overnight to Buckie.
