Bad weather caused ''Mara'' to return to Aberdeen on the 25/10/1962. Departure from Aberdeen was delayed because of unsuitable weather conditions, and the scientific crew proceeded to Berwick-upon-Tweed by road. The ship arrived in Berwick on the 02/11/1962. Strong winds curtailed work for the rest of the cruise. The scientists remained to tag crabs at Burnmouth for 3 further days |
