''Mara'' docked at Greenock on the 22/11/1968. During passage the compressed air sound source ('airgun') was tested and calibrated. New crew members embarked the ship on the 23/11/1968 and the sector scaning sonar was installed. Large numbers of saithe and some cod fished by hand lines, sprats, Euphausids, Meganyctiphanes norvegica and Pasiphaeasp. were also caught |
